The gift of God

What is the gift of God?
"The Gift of God is eternal life" (Romans 6:23)

What is eternal Life?
It is the exact opposite of death.  "The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life" (Romans 6:23). Eternal life is continued existence with no death. One writer describes it like this: " If a little bird should fly from heaven to earth and pick up one grain of sand and take it back to heaven, and repeat it once every million years (one grain of sand every million years), by the time it had taken every grain of sand from this earth to heaven, it would be put a moment in eternity."
Eternal life is also a different quality of life that we experience now.  The apostle Paul wrote that now we live in weakness, but then we will live in power; now we are perishable, but then we will be imperishable (1 Corinthians 15:35-44,RSV).
